Based on the massive success of inaugural MOS 2015 Events previously, it is our great pleasure to present the 2nd Myanmar Offshore Summit 2016 Conference and Exhibition which is going to be staged on 30-31 March 2016, Yangon, Myanmar with the theme "Strengthening International Cooperation in Myanmar's Offshore E&P Industry". Myanmar, one of the few frontier areas for petroleum exploration in Southeast Asia, expected to see a rise in offshore exploratory activities by local and international oil and gas companies in late 2015 and early 2016. Myanmar government gave the green light for 16 onshore blocks and 20 offshore blocks during the last financial year. The prospect of an increase in exploration activities in Myanmar over the next few years has been well received by local firms. Myanmar companies have many opportunities beyond 2015 when high activities in offshore sector are expected. Many winners of Myanmar Offshore Blocks Bidding Round including Shell, Chevron, PTTEP, Woodside, Ophir Energy will will start exploration in late 2015 and continue for three or four years, there will be many business opportunities in the country.
