Myanmar’s exports between 1 October and 5 June in the current financial year increase

Myanmar’s exports between 1 October and 5 June in the 2019-2020 financial year shot up to US$12.1 billion from $11.6 billion registered in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce, state media reported.

The figure reflects an increase of $503 million compared with the year-ago period. Of the seven export groups, agriculture, fisheries, minerals and other goods showed an increase in exports. Meanwhile, exports of livestock, forest products and finished industrial goods declined.

Export values were registered at $2.84 billion for agro products, $61.59 million for livestock, $670 million for fishery products, $1.28 billion for minerals, $105.7 million for forest products, $6.3 billion for manufactured goods, and $817.5 million for other goods.
