KBZ MS Insurance extended free 50 percent bonus COVID – 19 coverage for all existing and new health insurance policyholders until 13 September 2020

KBZ MS General Insurance, a joint venture between IKBZ Insurance and Japanese insurance giant MSI, announced an extension of its free 50% additional COVID-19 coverage for all existing and new health insurance policyholders until September 13, 2020, under its KBZ MS Arrawjan policy.

It offers free additional coverage for customers diagnosed with Covid-19, offering an additional 50% coverage on outpatient care, hospitalization fees, and death benefits. 

The program began on 13 March 2020 and was set to end on 13 June, however, given the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in Myanmar, the insurer has decided to extend the free coverage by another three months until 13 September. 

To promote the healthcare benefits of the influenza vaccine, KBZ MS is launching a flu shot campaign aimed at Myanmar’s entrepreneurs. A total of 300 free flu vaccines are being made available for its frontline staff and corporate clients who sign up for group policies from June onwards. The pilot initiative is currently available in Yangon with the possibility of future expansion across Myanmar before the end of the year. 

“This year, the flu season is approaching while many of us are still coping with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, we have decided to not only extend our coronavirus coverage but also to champion a viable preventive solution for influenza – the flu vaccine,” said Mr. Anil Mancham, CEO of KBZ MS.

In November 2019, IKBZ Insurance entered into a joint venture with Japanese insurance giant MSI and took on the new name of KBZ MS.

It has a presence in nineteen cities with twenty-one branches offering a range of products to cover the full range of general insurance needs from motor insurance to property, fire, shipping, and health insurance for individuals and groups.
