BILATERAL border trade between Myanmar and Thailand this financial year totalled US$415.9 million, with exports worth $123 million and imports worth $292.9 million, according to the official statistics issued by the Ministry of Commerce.

Apart from Htikhee gate, bilateral trade from the Myanmar-Thailand borders increased, in comparison with this time last year.
Among all border trade camps, the Myawady gate saw the largest value of trade, with $261 million during the period, followed by Myeik with $76 million, Kawthoung with $45 million and Tachilek with $27 million.
The trade value from all border crossings between 1 April and 20 July this year exceeded $2.469 billion, increasing by $316 million over the same period last year.—Shwe Khine
