European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar will held its third Myanmar-EU Economic Forum on June 5 in Nay Pyi Taw

After the success of the previous two editions, the European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (EuroCham Myanmar) is proud to announce that the third Myanmar-EU Economic Forum will be held on June 5 in Nay Pyi Taw.

Over two days, Myanmar and European business communities will be brought together, with more than 500 guests expected to be present at this high-profile event.

As an annual event, the Myanmar-EU Economic Forum aims to discuss the current business climate, as well as what has been achieved by the extensive work of our advocacy groups.

The purpose of this unique and diverse gathering of high-level government officials, leading private sector representatives, key experts from international organisations and leading academics is to share knowledge and play an active part in the advancement of Myanmar.

Myanmar President U Win Myint and the State Counsellor Daw Aung San San Kyi have been invited to open the event. Over the course of the day, different issues will be debated by expert panels: starting from an insightful discussion regarding bilateral investment and trade affairs, the agenda will then be followed by a presentation of our new and ambitious project called the European Myanmar Responsible Business Initiative (EMRBI).

Furthermore, all of our advocacy groups - Agrobusiness, Energy, Construction, Anti-Illicit Trade, Health Digital Innovation, Legal, Garment, Automotive, Logistic and Wine and Spirits - will be represented in various panel discussions, providing not only a concrete platform of information, but also a space where questions can be met with official answers, creating synergy and a fruitful dialogue to debate the political and business interest of Europe and Myanmar.

We will also launch EuroCham Myanmar’s White Book 2019 during the event. The publication provides comprehensive major recommendations in trade, investment and policies.

We invite you all to register to the event via our website, if you wish to attend as a guest or if you are interested in sponsorship opportunities. Above all, we hope to see you in the audience of the Forum and to give us your esteemed contribution to Myanmar’s economic growth.

David Levrat is the chair of the board of directors of the European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (EuroCham Myanmar).
