UMFCCI Centennial International Expo 2019 will be held in Yangon aiming to connect local and international entrepreneurs and penetrate into the international markets and distribute quality products in local market

Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) will hold the “UMFCCI Centennial International Expo-2019” at Fortune Plaza (Myanmar Expo) in Thakayta Township, Yangon from 20th to 22nd of this month according to the press conference on Monday.

Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations will support this expo. It aims to develop local products and business, penetrate into the international markets, and connect local and international entrepreneurs and to distribute quality products in local market.

Vice President, UMFCCI, Dr. Maung Maung Lay said “We want to know more about UMFCCI 100th anniversary among the entrepreneurs and business organizations.  UMFCCI is conducting creation for supply change and investment opportunity in our country. We are making efforts to inform the international participants for the economic investment opportunity and development. We also try to get export and import economic opportunities in the country.”

More than 200 value added and semi-finished products booths from local and international companies from Japan, Netherland, German, Korea, China, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei and Thailand will be showcased in the expo.

Vice President, UMFCCI, Dr. Maung Maung Lay said “It will have many opportunities for our country as business to business (B2B) and Business to Customer (B2C) from this expo. We will also hold seminars on Myanmar Network for Sustainable Development (MNSD) and Economic Development Initiatives in Myanmar as well as lucky draw program for trade visitors. To commemorate our centennial, we hosted the Investment Myanmar Summit (IMS) in Nay Pyi Taw. This time is for Strengthening Myanmar Business as UMFCCI Centennial International Expo and the third one is Centennial event during this year.”

UMFCCI has been founded since 1919 and comprised of state and region chambers of commerce and industry, border trade associations and affiliated associations. It also supports networking between the private business sector and State as well as business communities with international partner organizations.
