The delegation of the European Union to Myanmar and Asia Myanmar Shining Star Investment Co., Ltd (AMSS) signed an office space lease agreement in Yangon

The signing ceremony of an office space lease agreement between the Delegation of the European Union to Myanmar and Asia Myanmar Shining Star Investment Co., Ltd. (AMSS) was held in Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel, Inya Conference Room on October 9, 2019. The signing was witnessed by the Ambassador of the European Union to Myanmar, H.E Mr. Kristian Schmidt, AMSS Board of Director U Khin Maung Phyu, and a number of other officials and company representatives EU Delegation will occupy the total of 1,895 square meters in 5A Kantharyar Office Building to host EU and Spanish Embassy staff members in individual offices as well as in shared offices and open space in different combinations. The building met all the stringent safety, security, and quality requirements of the EU and represents an ideal choice for tenants looking for a high quality working environment with ancillary amenities.

It also provides an adequate number of meeting rooms, multi-purpose conference room, as well as archive spaces, storage rooms, server room, kitchenette and lavatories. In order to comply with the European Union’s standards, Kantharyar Office Complex will renovate the overall quality of finishing as well as the security features, mechanical and equipment facilities. The Kantharyar office building consists of 22 floors, with a total area of 36,510 square meters.

Currently the office building is hosting international organizations and enterprises, including KPMG, DHL, Manulife, China Construction, China Petroleum, Sinotrans, CMHL, Osotspa, Edotco, CNA, Haier, Mytel, CB Bank and Slade Property Services. This complex is also compromised of Five Star Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel, serviced apartments, and retails outlets. At the signing ceremony, the representatives from both sides believed that European Union and AMSS cooperation will bring the rapid development of the Kantharyar Complex as one stop Yangon International Commercial Center.

This new Delegation of the European Union office will be easily accessible and consistent with the needs of representation and visibility of an important diplomatic mission. The fitting-out work is scheduled to be completed on May 1, 2020, and the office space should be available for occupation thereafter.
