The 3rd Myanmar Youth Technoenprenurship Development Program 2020 organized in Yangon in order to promote and support Myanmar young entrepreneurs in technological sector

The opening ceremony of final selection event and awards ceremony of Myanmar Youth Technopreneurship Development Program 2020 was held at MICT park, Yangon on Saturday.

Annually organized by Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF) and Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT), the MYTDP 2020 program is aimed to solve the challenges on socio-business by the use of technology as well as to promote and support Myanmar young entrepreneurs in technological sector.

Secretary General, Myanmar Comouter Federation, Thaung Su Nyein said “For the last 2 years, 6 teams were turned out as the winners. Among them, 4 teams are now standing as the companies. Some are success tenders and applying their projects by using the experiences of training and competition. For this year 3rd edition, we hope a lot on youth participants and we believe they can penetrate with the momentum into the commercial market.”

10 teams representing upper and lower Myanmar regions selected with the best submissions of business ideas for the technology.

Team Manager, CSR Department (MPT), Aung Zaw Thet said “We aimed to become a business for proficient youth in technological sector. The youth have innovative idea for the technology and they also have ideas to build business mentally.  But we need good supports for them including financial, mentors and business operation procedures. So, they can carry the needs through this competition.”

The selected teams had 8-days boot camp for entrepreneurial business workshops and training at Kanaung Hub.

Participant, Ingyin Hmwe said “We team have 5 members and we are going to compete with health sector. For the competition, three members are supporting under the IC sector, I’m supporting under community development and the last one is supporting under business sector. We got same idea to create mental health website, we will put mental consultation platform for depression persons to discuss with therapists and physiologists only at the website.”

4 teams will select as the winners for this year and there are three title awards and honorable mention awards.
