MoU Inked: Korean Investment

Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Korean counterpart SCCI signed a Memorandum of Understanding for trade promotion.
Korea is the fifth biggest investor for Myanmar and especially invests in infrastructure development and motor vehicle sector. This MOU will cover a wide range of sectors, including oil and garments.

Vice President, UMFCCI, Dr. Myo Thet: Investment is highly related to the development of a country. Investment generates job opportunities. Under SCCI, small and medium enterprises have decent opportunities. 

Myanmar-Korea economic seminar was held in conjunction with the signing ceremony. 
CEO, Healing Medical Korea, Hong Hee Kyung: Today's discussion is mainly focused on cooperation in medical treatment in order to satisfy the needs on health care sector in Myanmar, strengthening the relations and bilateral trade between the two countries, and cooperation in joint-venture business.

President, Seoul Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Choi Jae-Young:  The outcome of the seminar will lead to further business cooperation between Myanmar and Korea. We hope that Myanmar people will help Korean businessmen who will make investment in Myanmar.
