Japanese engineering firm MIRAIT Technologies Corporation has established a local subsidiary, with a paid up capital of 20 million USD, in Myanmar

Japanese engineering firm MIRAIT Technologies Corporation has established a local subsidiary in Myanmar in a bid to expand its business in the Asia Pacific region.

The paid up capital for the new subsidiary is $20 million, the company said in a statement.

The new subsidiary, which will engage in construction work expansion for mobile communication equipment, will employ 100 people.

Mamoru Tanaka, senior corporate officer and head of Global Business Department, said the company is planning an educational program that develops engineering skills for optical fibre technologies.

“With the establishment of the new company, by focusing on maintenance, designing the communication facility and construction for mobile phones, we contribute to engineer’s resources development and the progress of telecommunication Network in Myanmar,” he said.

“In the purpose of creating new market for IT engineering and service sector, we will actively collaborate with local partners,” he added.

MIRAIT Technologies said it has already received order for mobile phone communication work as a project in Myanmar and the new company will take over the full-scale development.

MIRAIT Technologies Corporation as one of main subsidiary companies of MIRAIT Holdings deliver projects in more than 60 countries.
