In order to improve the private sector and reform policies to modernize and develop a market economy, Vice President U Myint Swe graced the 9th regular meeting with entrepreneurs

In order to improve the private sector and reform the policies to modernize and creating the market economy for the entrepreneurs, Vice President U Myint Swe attended the 9th Regular meeting with entrepreneurs for the private sector development at UMFCCI in Yangon, Monday.

The Vice President encouraged the private sector development, which provides the technology promotion, human resource capacity and job opportunities.

The meeting focused on SMEs sector development, Land reclamation issue, rattan and bamboo products, as well as Ayeyawaddy Region and Rakhine State private sector development. 

Vice President, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, H.E. Myint Swe said “We organized working committee so as to resolve the difficulties of entrepreneurs. We are implementing private sector development and ongoing process. The entrepreneurs also ask their difficulties and problems to the concerned Ministries. We also organized investment committees in each regions and states respectively to easily take the investment of entrepreneurs.  The improvement rate is about 80 % in Yangon and 11 % in Bago as well.”

Union Minister highlights that they are making effort to enhance and improvement of private sector development so the entrepreneurs need to actively involve.

Union Minister, Ministry of Planning and Finance, H. E. Kyaw Win said “We are now formulating economic policy for the industrial development of our country, and also making SMEs sector development. We also arrange two step loans for the entrepreneurs. We endeavor to support in agriculture and farming sectors development and technological assistances for the entrepreneurs in supply change.”

Yangon Region Chief Minister explained about the implementation tasks and progress of ongoing works.

Chief Minster, Yangon Region Government, Phyo Min Thein said “Yangon Region Government is collecting the list of SMEs sectors in 45 townships of Yangon Region. We are making effort data technology to issue SMEs smart card so as to be easy for loan assistance, support and advice in SMEs entrepreneurs for the SMEs development. We are trying to implement livestock breading and agriculture zones. The entrepreneurs should endeavor for beans and pluses to penetrate the international market.” 

The entrepreneur from the Maungdaw border trade zone also said their present situation in that area.

Chairman, Maungtaw Border Trade Chamber of Commerce, Aung Myint Thein said “Now, our Maungtaw border trade is suspended because of the current situation. We faced some difficulties in our export products. So, the export fishes are now being carried to Sittwe. We also worried about the export products of ginger and rice. I am very satisfied with the implementation tasks of the government and Tatmadaw. So, I think that we will run the border trade in coming soon. The daily export rate stabilized in 30, 000 USD to 50,000 USD at the average.”

The regular entrepreneurs meetings had been held since 2016 December and the 9th meeting approved 118 facts.
