The Attran river suspension bridge will be built with the loans from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) by the end of this year

MAWLAMYINE- Attran River Suspension Bridge will be built with the loans from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) by the end of this year, according to the Mawlamyine Industrial Zone Management Committee.

The suspension bridge will permit 70 tons of loads and by building this bridge, the investors are now keen to build more factories in Mawlamyine Industrial Zone.

“Mawlamyaine Industrial Zone was established on November 1st of 2002. Now, it is nearly 17 years. After 2008, 17 automobile enterprises were closed. Currently, 15 factories including garment, plastic and manufacturing of empty drinking water bottles are built in the industrial zone. The announcement said that the Attran Bridge would be built before 2019 with the JICA’s loan. The new bridge can permit 70 tons of loads. That’s why those near Industrial Zone will invest in the zone. In Mawlamyine, the real estate market is so silent. No one sell their plots. There are only land buyers. The construction of new bridge plays a vital role in the development of Mawlamyine Industrial Zone,” said Sein Myint, Vice-Chairman of Mawlamyine Industrial Zone Management Committee.

Zaw Moe Lwin, In-Charge from Special 14 of Bridge Construction Group in Mawlamyine, also said that preparatory measures for construction of new suspension bridge were being carried out. But, they can’t say the budget allowance.
