International Rubber Conference and annual meeting will be held in Nay Pyi Taw with the aim to extend extra visions for all rubber planters and producers in Myanmar

Under the theme of “way forward for the nature rubber industry and way forward for the competitiveness and sustainability, the 2-day International Rubber Research and Development Board’s Annual Meeting and International Rubber Conference” are set to be held in Nay Pyi Taw.

The International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDP) have been organizing Annual Meeting and International Rubber Conference by rotating among the member countries under the different themes. This year, Myanmar will host as the very first time under the arrangement of Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association (MRPPA) with the aim of extending extra visions for all Myanmar’s Rubber Planters and Producers as being one of the member countries.

At the coming conference, professionals from the 20 member countries will read out the 60 International Research Papers including 9 from Myanmar concerning rubber species, rubber plantations, rubber productions and many more various sectors.

President, Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association, Aung Myint Htoo said “We don’t need to follow the techniques and methods through the research papers for sure. From there, we have to learn how we apply in our grounds practically and how we could manage for the better plantations and productions. And I think all rubbers planters and producers have already known the right quality and quantity of rubbers. So, I hope they can bring the valuable experiences to their relevant farming.”

Also, Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association (MRPPA) have been making 10 workshops in collaboration with the International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRDP) for the quality rubber productions and plantations as well as socio-economy and agronomy.

Advisor, Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association, Hla Myint said “Before this conference, we’ve made 10 workshops in collaboration with International Rubber Research and Development Board. And this conference is very first time for Myanmar Rubber industry and I believe that all rubber planters and producers will have a chance to get great opportunities and valuable experiences.”

The upcoming International Rubber Conference is from 30th of September to 1st October with free entry and facilities for all rubber lovers and the Annual Meeting is from 3rd to 4th of October in Bagan.
