Yangon Amata Smart and Eco City Ltd will implement Smart and Eco City project in Yangon Region

Hong Kong-based Yangon Amata Smart and Eco City Ltd will implement a Smart and Eco City project with an investment of US$274.68 million on 2,000 acres of land near Laydaunkkan Village between East Dagon and South Dagon townships in Yangon Region, according to Myanmar Investment Commission.

To implement the project, the Urban and Housing Development Department under the Ministry of Construction and Amata Corporation Public Co Ltd signed a framework agreement on August 22.

During the agreement signing ceremony, Yangon Region Chief Minister Phyo Min Thein said the aim was to establish an industrial zone in the region in cooperation with Amata Company.

He expressed his wish for the emergence of a modern and high-tech Yangon Amata Smart and Eco City.

Later, Amata Corporation Public Co Ltd signed memorandums of understanding with Global Power Synergy PCL and SCG Cement Building Material Co Ltd, according to the Yangon Region government.
