Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation will provide fish seeds for 15,000 acres of fish breeding ponds

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation will provide 2,000 fish seeds per acre of the fish breeding pond for a total of 15,000 acres of fish breeding ponds using K 6 billion budget.

The Ministry has provided fish seeds to owners of 112.61 acres of fish-breeding ponds in Taungoo Township as the first batch and will provide fish seeds to 421.69 acres.

Moreover, the government has allocated K60 million for training programs on safety on the seas and the ministry is planning to provide trainings to fishermen and fishing breeding farmers in the most effective ways.

In addition to that, the government, under the COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan (CERP), has planned to use K25 billion for cash for work program in which the government will use K10 million per village building and developing infrastructure in the respective villages. Over 2,488 villages across the country will benefit from the program.
