Myanmar Thandaw Myat Company, a joint invest­ment company between Yun Nan Jian Sheng In­vestment Co., Ltd, and a local company, Thandaw Myat Co., Ltd has boosted its Double Rinos brand ce­ment production by setting up a new production line with the capacity of 5,000 ton per day, according to opening ceremony of new production line on October 26.

The cement plant, lo­cated in Kyaukse in Man­dalay region, was estab­lished in 2012 with an investment of K20 bil­lion relevant to $20 mil­lion. After adding a new production line, now it becomes the first ce­ment plant that produces 10,000 tonnes per day.

Double Rhinos Cement is jointly managed. Dis­tribution is handled by Arr Thit Mann Compa­ny, while Thantaw Myat Company is responsible for production.

Dr. Zaw Myint Maung, Chief Minister of Man­dalay Region attended the opening ceremony in Kyaukse Industrial Zone, in Mandalay region and urged the company to abide investment law and have strong corporate so­cial responsibility includ­ing environmental impact protection.

SIOMA Intl. Engineer­ing Co., Ltd. constructed the second production line that occupies 15,00 acres next to the old one. This was built six years af­ter the construction of the original cement plant.

The machinery was im­ported from Denmark and Germany and utilizes a Dry Process Cement technology.

The plant produces Double Rinos brand ce­ment which is available in three types: Portland Type 32.5 Cement, Port­land Type 42.5 Cement, and Portland Type 52.5 Cement.
